Participation in the 100k Lives Campaign reflects Washington State health care providers' commitment to delivering the best quality care to patients.

Washington state is not merely joining with the thousands of hospitals across the country commiting to implement changes in care that have been proven to prevent avoidable deaths We are leading the way. We are the first state of our size to reach one hundred percent of hospitals participating—an impressive commitment to patient safety.

Partnership

The Changes
The campaign focuses on six basic changes:

• Deploy Rapid Response Teams
• Deliver Reliable, Evidence-Based Care for Acute Myocardial Infarction
• Prevent Adverse Drug Events (ADEs)
• Prevent Central Line Infections
• Prevent Surgical Site Infections
• Prevent Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia

In addition to these six interventions, IHI will continuously seek and add others that have been shown to save lives.

Partner Nodes

	The Northwest Organization of Nurse Executives (NWONE) is pleased to partner with Qualis Health, WSMA, WSHA, WSNA, and SEIU1199NW to provide a synergistic linkage for the chief nursing officers, deans, directors of nursing, and nurse managers in Washington State hospitals to enhance the dissemination about Campaign activities and to foster focused connectivity around the quality improvement interventions.
	Qualis Health is dedicated to improving the quality of healthcare delivery and health outcomes for individuals and populations across the nation. In operation since 1974, the non-profit, healthcare quality improvement organization (QIO) is headquartered in Seattle, Washington and has offices in Idaho and Alaska.
	Service Employees International Union District 1199NW is proud to join with Washington hospitals to pioneer new ways to deliver quality care to our patients. As frontline nurses and hospital employees, SEIU 1199NW members working in hospitals across the state will work together to advocate for effective introduction of the intervention goals of 100K Lives Campaign.
	The Washington State Hospital Association (WSHA), in partnership with NWONE, Qualis Health, SEIU, WSMA, and WSNA, will provide leadership for the 100k Lives Campaign in Washington. WSHA will actively mobilize and encourage enrollment among its membership, serve as a node for dissemination of information about Campaign activities, and provide technical support to Washington hospitals around the six Campaign quality improvement interventions.
	The Washington State Medical Association (WSMA) and its 9,000+ members are honored to participate in this unique partnership with WSHA, WSMA, NWONE, Qualis Health, and SEIU. The WSMA will work with its members to dispense information about the 100k Lives Campaign and provide information and support to physicians participating in the quality improvement interventions at their local hospitals.
	The Washington State Nurses Association (WSNA), is pleased to partner with NWONE, Qualis Health, SEIU, WSMA, and WSHA to provide leadership for the 100k Lives Campaign in Washington. WSNA will actively mobilize and encourage enrollment among its membership and the nursing community in Washington State, serve as a node for dissemination of information about Campaign activities, and provide information and support to registered nurses in their role in the six Campaign quality improvement interventions.
